Dave Shaffer has lived in Northwest Wisconsin for over 20 years. There, he has the great fortune to live surrounded by nature's beauty and to share habitat with black bear and many other wildlife species. Dave was raised in a family with strong hunting traditions and at an early age realized that more than anything, he loved spending time in nature. As a child, each day after school he would grab his rifle or bow and head to the woods to pursue game. This devotion to wild places allows Dave to learn the art of patience and the ability to become one with nature. Over the years, Dave's views on hunting gradually changed. Now, when Dave disappears into the woods of the Upper Midwest, he is armed only with his camera.
